WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) — Authorities from the South Carolina Highway Patrol are currently examining a deadly collision involving a Tesla and a stationary car.
Sergeant Tyler Tidwell states that the accident occurred shortly before 5:40 p.m. on Tuesday.
In 2023, a Tesla was traveling west on New Zion Road near Green Road, approximately 14 miles north of Kingstree.
The Tesla traveled off the road to the right and hit a culvert before overturning and striking an unoccupied 2010 Chevrolet Silverado that was legally parked in a yard.
The individual operating the Tesla passed away at the location where the incident occurred.
The Williamsburg County Coroner’s Office has not disclosed thevictim's name as of now.
