Seoul Metro stated on Thursday that subway trains on Line No. 7 are running through Soongsil University Station because smoke has been detected.
Around 9:30 a.m., the station picked up signs of smoke originating from the second basement level of Soongsil Station. Following this, the management alerted the relevant authorities and initiated an evacuation of all passengers, as reported by Seoul Metro.
Trains have been running through the station since 9:50 a.m. Individuals wishing to utilize the subway should proceed to either the neighboring Isu Station or Namseong Station.
The source of the smoke remains unconfirmed at this point. As of publishing, no injuries have been reported.
The Seoul Metro has not confirmed when the trains will be back in service.
