SAN ANTONIO – A Bexar County constable was hit by an Amazon delivery vehicle while he was working extra hours for road construction duties, leading to traffic disruptions during Wednesday morning.
The event took place around 2:50 a.m. close to IH-35 and Weidner.

As reported by EMS personnel present at the incident, the 62-year-old constable was seated inside his vehicle performing off-duty work for a construction company when he was hit from behind by an Amazon 18-wheel truck.
The constable said he couldn’t sense his legs, and he was transported to the medical facility; however, he remains in stable condition.
